Youth services are provided to in-school and out-of-school youth up to age 24. An individual is eligible to participate in Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Services if he or she is categorized as low-income/economically disadvantaged and possess one or more of the following barriers to employment:
- Is deficient in basic literacy skills
- Is a school dropout
- Is a homeless, runaway, or foster child
- Is pregnant or parenting
- Is an ex-offender
- Is an individual (including a youth with a disability) who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment.
